The Chattahoochee Nature Center’s 10th Annual Chattahoochee Challenge 10K Fun Run is a great qualifying time for the 2012 Peachtree Road Race. The ace takes place Feb. 11. This is a flat, certified course with scenic views along the Chattahoochee River in Roswell that starts and ends at the Chattahoochee Nature Center at 9135 Willeo Road.

The 10K race begins at 8 a.m. preceded by the one-mile Family Fun Run at 7:30 a.m.

On-site parking is available until 6:45 a.m., the approximate time of road closings, at the Nature Center.

After 6:45, park at St. Francis School on Willeo and Azalea Drive.

Awards will be presented at the post race party where all runners will receive T-shirts and a great swag bag while entertainment is provided by B98.5 Radio.

Other sponsors include the city of Roswell, Big Peach Running Co., Aurora Cineplex, Waffle House, Delta Community Credit Union, Fontis Water, Whole Foods Market, Sports Chiropractic Institute, Reebok, Caribou Coffee and Great Harvest Bread Co.

Awards will be presented to overall and masters male and female finishers and first, second and third finishers in 13 age groups.

Pets are not allowed and strollers are permitted at your own risk.

Walkers are welcomed, but the roads will reopen 90 minutes after the race begins.

On race day at the Nature Center pay $32 by 7:45 a.m. The Fun Run is $15 on race day, or mail a check in advance with completed application found online at www.chattnaturecenter.org to the Chattahoochee Nature Center.

With mail-in registrations and online registrations, race numbers can be received on race day only beginning at 6:30 a.m.
