Chattahoochee Grad wins Miss India Georgia 2010 Pageant

Rupal Patel, a junior at the University of Georgia and a graduate of Chattahoochee High School in Johns Creek, recently competed as a contestant in the Indian American Cultural Association (IACA)'s annual Miss India Georgia beauty pageant. The pageant was held on July 10, 2010 at the Gwinnett Center. All contestants were judged on an evening gown, talent, and indian outfit segments. The Top 5 contestants also took part in a Question and Answer round. Rupal received the Best Talent recognition for playing the clarinet to the Indian National Anthem and performing a dance to a Bollywood song. As the reigning Miss India Georgia, Rupal will compete in the Miss India USA pageant in New Jersey this upcoming December.
